We released a new way for creators to send personalized notifications to 13+ users to keep up with the most important moments in their favorite experiences. The Captures APIs allow creators to include pre-set moments within experiences where a screenshot is automatically taken for users to save, share, or delete the screenshot.

We launched new capabilities for our AI assistant which is now able automatically add, remove, or change assets in a scene in realtime. Our updated our login experience, makes it easier for users to sign-in based on whether they signed up with a password or a passkey. We began automatically archiving items in Marketplace that don’t comply with our Terms of Use or Community Standards to help maintain a healthy Marketplace without penalizing creators. Avatar creators can now merchandise and sell entire avatars on Marketplace; previously, they were only able to sell individual items. We introduced a new suite of parental controls, enabling parents to link their Roblox account to their child’s, and set restrictions on spending, screen time, chat privileges, and more. We updated our genres to allow creators to more accurately pick the genres that fit their game, and help users find specific genres that they’re interested in.

We made the algorithm powering our ‚Recommended for You‘ sort transparent, giving creators more insight into how they can improve their experiences‘ discoverability on Roblox. We found that creators who use Regional Pricing have 26% more paying users in their experience. We launched the Friend Referral Program, that allows creators to offer rewards to player for inviting their connections to their experience. This API helps creators integrate with third-party tools to build powerful workflows, enabling more flexibility over their Roblox creation.

Open source voice classifier V2

We launched a new chat tab in app, allowing users to access their chats with a single click from anywhere on Roblox. Material generator moved out of beta to full release, enabling creators to utilize generative AI to create materials based on prompts. We gave creators the ability to archive past Marketplace items without reaching out to Roblox for assistance, allowing them to better maintain their catalog of available items. Creators now have more insight into where players are finding their experiences and insight into the effectiveness of their ads. Creators can now enable editing of both mesh and image objects for their players, enabling more customization within their experiences and games for players. Creators now have access to Assistant, that can help auto-complete and edit scripts, insert objects into experiences, and more to help creators build faster.

Creators can now schedule when their avatar items go on or off sale on Marketplace in advance. We launched V2 of our open-source voice safety classifer that introduces seven new languages and now has capabilities to allow for human labeling and fine-tuning. We improved Assistant’s capabilities to allow for script review and iteration, AI-powered debugging, and other quality-of-life improvements. Creators can now offer region-specific pricing for their passes, helping users from lower-spend regions participate into their economy more frequently. Our teams are building powerful, intuitive tools that empower millions of people of all skill levels to build and share their immersive creations with the world. Our goal at Roblox is to build the safest and most civil online platform, where everyone is empowered to create, learn, share, and thrive.

Audio API Beta

We improved our Constructive Solid Geometry system, making dynamic mesh interactions in experiences more performant. We introduced a curated sort of Marketplace assets, recommending items to people on Roblox. We launched the material picker providing creators visual previews, powerful search, and intuitive filters, to make finding and applying materials is faster and easier than ever.

We expanded publisher eligibility for Immersive Ads and launched Brand Suitability controls, which allows advertisers to choose between eligible categories of experiences to show their Immersive Ads. All experiences regardless of when they were created will be eligible to offer subscriptions, as long as the creator has an ID or phone-verified account. We improved debugging by giving creators insight into the number and type of API calls that might be impacting their experience’s performance. We introduced two new experience templates with premade functionality enabling creators to customize and build their vision faster.

Audio API full release

  • We redesigned the events and updates tile on the Experience Details Page, making it easier for players to see what the event is about or what was included in the most recent update.
  • „Top Playing Now“ is a new experience sort that offers a real-time view of the most popular experiences on Roblox based on concurrent users.
  • We tested our Audio ML technology with English-voice users to reduce policy-violating behavior in Voice Chat through real-time user feedback, education and consequences.

Our improved grass system moved to beta testing, allowing creators to adjust the height of grass which now reacts more accurately to wind forces. We introduced the Ban API that allows creators to ban people and their alternate accounts from a given experience. We improved our group revenue system, enabling creators to pay collaborators directly within creator hub and define percentage splits by revenue source. We enabled creators to highlight events happening in their experiences on the group page. We launched ads preferences within settings, allowing users to opt-in or out of personalized ads and data sharing.

Creators now have access to a dashboard that provides them an overview of all of the reviews and feedback their experience has received from their players. We made significant improvements to Ads Manager, making it esaier for creators to create more engaging ad units, set up campaigns, and providing better reporting on ROI. Eligible players who are over 18 years old can now gift and request Robux to and from other eligible players. We made model improvements leveraging real-time and richer sequential user history to inform our recommendations system. We made changes to the publishing workflow for creating new items that makes it easier to publish and edit items. If Roblox detects a suspicious login, users without an email address can now leverage another device where they are logged in to verify or decline the login.

Luau VM memory exploration tools

We improved Roblox Studio’s assistant functionality, expanding where AI generated scripts can be inserted in experiences. We rolled out video ads, enabling all advertisers to publish an immersive video ad on the platform. We upgraded our water and shoreline system, enabling more realistic interactions where water meets land in experiences. Creators can now manage groups of people they’re working with directly in Creator Hub, improving how creators collaborate on Roblox.

Voice Chat phone verification expansion (ES, MX, CL, CR, PR)

We rolled out our updated lighting system to Android devices, improving the quality and performance of lighting across experiences. We integrated the ban API into our Creator Hub, making it easier for devs to ban or unban users from their experience. We added optimization mode, allowing people on Roblox to select whether they want to optimize for performance, quality, or a balance of the two. We enabled sharing of Creator Store items via hyperlinks, and improved preview images of each item. Creators on Roblox can now see what changes their collaborators have made to their experiences in Roblox Studio. Creators can now add music to their experiences via our new integration with our partner Distrokid.

We launched a new chart that shows the top 100 music tracks currently on the platform, helping creators learn what’s trending and popular. We overhauled Studio’s Explorer, the primary way creators use to manage and organize assets, by improving performance and eliminating most hangtime. We announced our Cube 3D platform, and launched it’s first capability that allows creators to generate objects in Studio.

Advertising for Paid Access & restricted games

We opened up creation of marketplace assets on the platform, allowing people who meet a standard set of eligibility requirements to create and sell assets on the platform. We published a set of eligibility guidelines for the broader creator community on Roblox to continue growing the number of experiences that can publish ads. We made it easier for creators to get the word out about in-experience events by enabling custom thumbnails & notifications for people who engage with their experience. We launched one of our first commerce experiences, enabling people on Roblox to buy real-world movie tickets to see Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice at Fandango’s virtual box office.

Dynamic price floors for avatar bodies & heads

We provided creators with the ability to create custom textures for meshes using natural language prompts and rapidly prototype new looks. We introduced a new curation unit to recommend new experiences to people on Roblox every day. We made physics debugging easier by allowing creators to pause physics simulations in Studio

We began a test to increase the amount of server memory available to creators, enabling creators to create experience that can support more content and more players. We launched search ads providing creators and brands another way to reach new and current audiences based on what they’re searching on Roblox. Our audio API was fully released, enabling creators to build more complicated and rich audio interactions in their experiences. Accessory adjustment tooling launched for creators, empowering them to seamlessly integrate accessory customization into their experiences.

We launched in-experience automatic translation, enabling creators to support up to 16 languages and bring their experiences to people all over the world. We made it easier for creators to test their experiences across different consoles by enabling emulation of touch controls & platform-specific gamepads. Paid access experiences are now eligible for Engagement Based Payouts, which awards Robux to creators for the amount of time spent and number of premium players in the experience. We enabled creators to measure where and when people in their experiences make purchases, allowing them to optimize their monetization. The real-time translation API allows creators to translate text into player’s local langues programtically, enabling better automatic localization of experiences.

With our new Emissive Maps https://chickenroadapp.in/ Studio Beta, creators can add glowing effects for more artistic control. We tested our Audio ML technology with English-voice users to reduce policy-violating behavior in Voice Chat through real-time user feedback, education and consequences. We renamed Creator Marketplace to Creator Store and launched the ability for Creators to start pricing assets in fiat and provide their financial information to enable payouts. We introduced a Developer Console tool to help creators debug and solve issues with memory usage and memory leaks. We expanded phone verification to 100% of eligible users in Mexico, Spain, Argentina, Columbia, Chile, Peru. We released chat translations so that users around the world can communicate with each other, regardless of what language they speak.

Eligible creators can now run price tests to find the best price is for each of their in-game products, helping creators grow revenue without sacrificing user engagment. Everyone on Roblox can now filter their charts by device and country, to help them find the right experiences and games. Users are now able to customize and design Avatars within experiences, and add them directly into their inventory. We made it easier for creators to pick the lighting options that make the most sense for them by unifying lighting controls in Studio. Creators now have more controls over which players see what branded assets, with criteria like age and location.
